Mother's Day 2010

My New Favorite Holiday

Can you tell I'm just a little bit happy? Yeah...just a touch :) Today was my first Mother's Day and it was simple, and snuggly, and scrumptious!!! There was a time in my life where I wasn't sure I would get to be a person who celebrated Mother's Day...I wasn't sure I would get to be a mother at all. And it hurt...and it was scary...and I felt it was so unfair. But I had blessings that were awaiting me, and they were beyond my own understanding.

Because I never could have imagined this...not even close.

I probably won't remember the gifts I unwrapped today, or what Channing cooked me for breakfast. I won't remember what the weather was like, or what I did to pass the time. But I will always remember the joy, the gratefulness, the love, the miracle of this girl...and that God chose me to be her Mommy.

Happy Mother's Day to me...and praying for all those mommies to be that are spending today wanting and waiting.

Trust Me...

It's SO worth the wait.
